tory & tré | sewickley engagement portrait session

I’ve been photographing Tory’s girls since they were itty bitty, and I’ve just loved seeing the amazing mama that she is to them! Imagine my excitement when this super special fella showed up in their lives! I can’t think of a person more deserving of this crazy level of happiness! I’m sure that Tré knows just how lucky he is to have found this incredible woman, and I couldn’t be happier for these two and their family! <3

salem, ohio spring portrait session | couple with dogs

This week, I had the opportunity to photograph my dear friend Angela and her sweet little family! You might recognize her as the talent behind the amazing Rosewood Boutique (this is where I get my floral collars for pet sessions, and I recommend her gorgeous faux florals to any of my wedding couples who want their wedding decor as a forever keepsake!). These guys will be adding a two-legged babe to the clan this fall, and I’m so excited for them! Their spring portrait session turned out to be even more beautiful than I had hoped!

The crazies got to play with bubbles when we finished up, because I grabbed my bubble machine on the way out the door as an afterthought. It was the cutest thing ever to watch!

rose & jake | omni bedford springs resort wedding ceremony & reception | pittsburgh area wedding photographer

I couldn’t have chosen a better way to end the 2018 wedding season than Rose & Jake’s wedding at Omni Bedford Springs. The resort is where these two got engaged, and they’ve been visiting once a year since they started dating – I love a venue that means something to a couple!
Rose’s taste is impeccable – I’m in love with these Kate Spade shoes. AND THAT GOWN!A first look with dad is never a bad idea – love these sweet moments with Rose and her parents! This might be my favorite ring box of my entire career, too! I just loved every detail of this day!

The ceremony archway was made by the groom’s father – what a beautiful and sentimental touch!

Oh, and let’s not forget about all the sobbing I did behind the camera when Jake not only saw his beautiful bride, but attempted to give his vows. He couldn’t get it together for a few minutes there, and neither could any of the guests (or myself!). The weather was perfect for portraits that day, and we had so much time for them, which is always an added bonus for us!The back of this dress – I still can’t handle it!Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs! We loved photographing the official start of your life together, and we wish you many years of happiness!

caty & nina | calvary episcopal church ceremony & university club reception | same sex wedding in pittsburgh, pa | lgbtq+ wedding photographer pittsburgh

Have you ever seen a couple that’s just too stinkin’ beautiful for their own good? These two ladies are just as stunning inside as they are on the outside – they’re two of the kindest people I’ve ever encountered, and it’s easy to see that comes from the wonderful families who brought them up – this day was absolute perfection!

We started with prep coverage at Caty’s childhood home, which had the most beautiful light!

Nina finished getting ready at the church prior to the ceremony, and we met up with her there to get a few photos before things got started!Emotional dad moments are my absolute favorite (and they always, always make me cry). These guys and their girls – I can’t even deal! And just LOOK at these precious flower girls! We got some quick portraits outside of the church, because rain was in the forecast, and I’m glad we did because I just love this spot!We jumped in the couple’s limo bus to head to our portrait location and then onward to the reception venue. We didn’t get hit with a ton of rain – just a few drops – but THE WIND! It was crazy and multiple umbrellas flipped inside out, making for a few memorable and chaotic moments 😉The University Club looked incredible with Caty & Nina’s beautiful centerpieces – I love this venue and the wonderful staff there!I’ve never seen a more gorgeous first dance!Nina caught her brother shedding some tears during the speeches – I love these images!Since our outdoor portrait time was cut a bit short, we did some extra photos during the reception. We used the gorgeous spiral staircase, and even ventured onto the balcony for some photos with and without the rain that night. I love having those extra bits of time for couples’ portraits!

Congratulations, Mrs. & Mrs!
