i’m going to be an auntie! | elegant baby shower at sewickley’s edgeworth club

As an only child, I’ve always been a little sad that there’s a chance I’ll never be a “real” aunt. But hey, when your best friend of 17 years is pregnant with her first little one, you run with it and claim the title just because you can. 🙂

Welcoming this baby girl to the world is something I’ve been looking forward to since finding out about Kristen’s pregnancy back in December; she’d better show up soon, because I can’t contain my excitement much longer.

Throwing this shower was so much fun, and I can’t wait to spoil Scarlett for the rest of my days!

These invitations from DreamPaperie on Etsy were absolutely perfect.The adorable personalized onesie was from FreckledFoxKids, and ALL of the amazing faux florals were taken care of by my friend Angela of Rosewood Boutique.
My very favorite element of the shower (and one of the only things I kept a surprise from the momma-to-be) was this illustration from Badger and Wren. 

This adorable print was from LaSardinaRosa on Etsy. I was so excited to have something from Italy – makes a girl feel fancy 😉

And isn’t this floral letter ‘S’ amazing? Seriously, you guys. Rosewood Boutique. She’s a creative genius. I couldn’t have chosen a better venue for this event – Sewickley’s Edgeworth Club is elegant and beautiful, and THAT LIGHT! The staff was also super accommodating and I was so thrilled with the outcome.Congratulations to my bestie and her hubby – I can’t wait to pretty much move in with you guys to help raise Scarlett 😉
