katie & alecia | duquesne university same sex engagement session | pittsburgh wedding photographer

When I sat down with these two for their consultation, I was super excited for the possibility of working with them. Did you ever meet someone you felt like you’ve just known for years? Multiply that by two people, and that was what happened 🙂

These ladies met in college at Duquesne University, where they were in the same sorority & lived together in Brottier Hall. How fitting to take it back to where it all began, and photograph their engagement session on campus!

I got the full tour courtesy of Alecia, while Katie was probably just focused on being cold. I’ve gotta say, though, I’m so glad these two opted for a winter engagement session, and even though we’ve been lacking snow, this LIGHT was to die for! I can’t wait to photograph these two in some fabulous gowns in December <3

Check out the Facebook post to see the story behind the squirrel!
There may or may not be a total of THREE squirrel photos in their final gallery 😉

These photos feature the infamous Brottier Hall, which is where Katie & Alecia’s love story began! <3
